Davie, Auter attend AUSACE conference

In October, Dr. William R. Davie and Dr. Philip J. Auter attended the 12th annual Arab-U.S. Association for Communication Educators (AUSACE) International Conference, which was held this year at Zayed University in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. Davie, Auter and Middle East Partnership Initiative co-director Prof. Ashraf Galal Bayoumy presented in a plenary session entitled “Innovation and Best Practice in US-Middle East Cross-Cultural Communication Education.”

Auter also presented a paper he co-authored with UL Lafayette master’s candidate Erica Ashton and Mansoura University (Egypt) communication department chair, Prof. Mohamed Soliman. The research paper compared American and Egyptian college students’ consumption of music videos and their perceptions about how this consumption affects social values.
