Broadcasting Minor

Earning a minor in broadcasting means you'll learn the ins and outs of creating great news packages and documentary-style films as an individual and in a group.

The broadcasting minor requires 18 credit hours of classes.

The required broadcasting minor courses are:

  • CMCN 212 - Introduction to Newswriting
  • CMCN 250 - Audio Production
  • CMCN 338 - Internet Communication
  • CMCN 360 - TV Studio Production
  • CMCN 365 - Single Camera Production and Editing

Choose one course from the following electives:

  • CMCN 455  - TV News Production
  • CMCN 460(G)  - TV/Film Producing and Directing
  • CMCN 465(G)  - Documentary Filmmaking
  • CMCN 469(G) - Digital Media Convergence
  • CMCN 490(G) - Internship
